Whatever our day is, at the end of our day we want to get into a neat home.
Because when you’re busy and stressed, a messy home is only going to make you anxious.
Some people make their bed as soon as they get up in the morning. They have an all-time clean home because of their daily cleaning habits to keep their home in order.
If you don’t have a plan or a cleaning routine then your housework can be overwhelming and never-ending.
How to create a simple cleaning you can stick to
Now, how to create a cleaning schedule for your house that can be done every day?
Everyone loves having a good cleaning schedule to make our home clean and neat. But sticking to a simple cleaning schedule is part of life to be organized!
Don’t worry…
I will help you to have a simple cleaning schedule you can stick to your entire life and be kept away from a messy house ever.
The trick is to create a cleaning routine that I can stick to.
However, there’s nothing to worry about.
I’ve broken down a method to help you come up with a house cleaning schedule that works and you can stick to it every single day.
10 Tips to create a simple cleaning schedule you can stick to
1. Plan your chores
Plan which chore you need to be done first?
You need a plan to tackle cleaning tasks at home.
Don’t worry about creating the Pinterest-perfect home. Nobody has time for that and your family doesn’t want to feel like they can’t relax in their home.
We all have a different home with different family members.
According to the size of the house and the size of the family, the household chores also change. both the factors are directly proportional to home chores, I hope you got what I meant.
2. Create a task list
Before you think about yourself, I would strongly recommend creating a really simple chore list. Not more than five a day!
The most organized homes need to have some daily and weekly maintenance chores performed to keep things organized and in their proper place, such as tidying and putting things away.
you need to know what you have to do to clean it in the first place.
Based on the individual needs of your household, make a note of how often you would like to accomplish each task.
For Example Kitchen chores
- Every day: wipe down all surfaces, do the dishes, sweep
- Weekly: Mop the floor, take out the trash
- Monthly: Clean the oven, clear out the fridge/pantry, organize kitchen cabinets
Cleaning your home doesn’t become an overwhelming task on the weekends, you’ll need to do some things every day. A simple and easy nightly cleaning routine helps you to reset your day.
Always make a simple realistic cleaning schedule or list.
3. Prioritize your chores

Just think about it for a moment: what does a clean house mean to you? Is it a spotless kitchen with no dishes in the sink? Or would you rather have a clean bedroom with neat bedsheets to come home after work?
I prefer TWO, one is the clean kitchen with no dishes and another one is a clean bed ☺️. I spend less time in kitchen using these genius hacks.
What about you?
Keep all of this in mind when you are creating your cleaning checklist.
Maybe it’s not realistic to wipe down every surface in every room daily. That’s okay; just decide what matters most to you and go from there.
4. Implement a block scheduling system to clean each day
Now we have the plan and prioritize the chores. It’s time to schedule the chores so that you gonna do the stuff for real. Time saving cleaning shortcuts also helps to save lots of time.
If you don’t schedule it, it probably won’t happen. So schedule in time daily to clean. Blocking out some time in the morning and some time in the evening is a life-changing cleaning schedule.
I recommend you to do it, and you can have my free block scheduling template.
5. Time blocking cleaning system
If you practice time blocking cleaning system, then cleaning will not be a burden for you. It is a life-changing thing that happened for me. Give it a try gradually you can master in your own way!
Morning cleaning schedule
- Make your bed:
- Do the dish:
- Quick kitchen clean up
- Sweep
Pick any one chore (do one chore every day)
- Monday: bedrooms
- Tuesday: bathrooms
- Wednesday: floors
- Thursday: fridge and pantry
- Friday: clean surfaces, declutter, & dust
- Weekend: wash sheets, plan meals, vacuum
Evening cleaning schedule
- Do the Laundry : practice time saving laundry hacks
- Do the remaining dishes
- 10-minute quick clean kitchen: clean and wipe surfaces
- sweep & spot mop
6. Do similar tasks in groups
Doing a similar task makes sense for cleaning because then you can allocate time for them much more easily. For example: If you are wiping your dinner table, then you can clean the whole surface in that hall at once.
Another example I can tell you is that whenever I clean my toilet I do water my plants. Only I need the time to water get filled in the bathroom bucket. Look both chores are done!
7. Know your Cleaning Style (think about your day and family)

Most people have a daily cleaning routine. It’s all according to the type of your job and your family requirements.
If you have the time and discipline to dedicate to a daily routine. In that case, set aside 45 minutes to an hour every day and conduct a simple cleaning procedure that will keep the mess from piling up.
If you have a more hectic job that doesn’t allow an everyday cleaning slot, then you can dedicate each weekend to one household chore.
Do you only have a half-hour each weekday but plenty of time on the weekends?
You’ll want to create a cleaning schedule that allows you to keep your two most important rooms up to your standards all week then fit cleaning the rest around that.
But whatever your day is I would recommend you to have a 15 daily cleaning routine. It’s worth it! rather than spending your beautiful weekend CLEANING DAY!
I set a timer for myself for 15 minutes each night to get as many tasks done on my schedule as possible.

Having kids involved in housekeeping not only makes your life easier but also teaches them valuable skills and gives them self esteem as they feel they make vital contributions to the household
Teach your kids to make their beds in the mornings, and to put away their laundry and their toys.
Cleaning is faster and more fun when everyone has a role to play.
Help them get in the habit of daily cleaning and straightening! You’ll be happy with the help and you’ll be instilling good habits in your children.
