The best cleaning schedule is an attainable one. For busy, working moms, that means no more than about 2 hours of cleaning a day.
Further, the best cleaning schedule includes daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
Lastly, the best cleaning schedule is one that builds in time for the weekly and monthly tasks into the daily tasks.
Easy Cleaning Schedule for working mom
1. Daily cleaning schedule
Daily cleaning tasks can take less time and will prevent the build-up of mess inside your home.
I have listed some typical daily tasks below for both the morning, before starting work, and the evening after work is completed for the day.
Time blocking cleaning schedule is the most wonderful thing I have learned to get my cleaning stuff get done.

A good evening cleaning schedule comes along with a good morning cleaning schedule. If you can do at least a three-morning cleaning tasks then your evening cleaning schedule will be so easy.
This evening’s cleaning routine becomes even more effective if you can adopt time blocking cleaning system.
Without an evening schedule or a nighttime cleaning routine may leave you with so much to deal with the next morning that you’re like to have a stressful and chaotic start to the day.

3. Monthly cleaning schedule
These monthly tasks involve deep cleaning. Weekly cleaning will concentrate more on dusting and organizing things.
Daily cleaning is usually the minor cleaning you can do in your everyday routine.
For monthly cleaning tasks, create your monthly schedule wherein you target specific areas for deep cleaning.
- Clean your windows
- Vacuum all furniture
- Clean out your closet
- Clean kitchen appliances
You’ll see the benefits of a cleaning routine in your home and you’ll want to keep going. After two weeks of checking chores off the list, it will be a habit.
You will no longer have to worry about your home is a mess.

- Spot clean as needed: I will run the vacuum quickly to get up any small messes or crumbs. This helps keep them from being dragged into other areas of the house and only takes a few minutes of my time.
- Get the kids involved
Include your children in the cleaning schedule and ask your spouse to take on some of the responsibilities as well.
Don’t feel as though all the burden of cleaning the home has to be on your shoulders.

The above cleaning routines are examples. I don’t know your life, I don’t know how busy you are and what you have time for. Those are the routines that have worked for me.
That doesn’t mean that is what will work for you.
If you are new to cleaning schedules, first write down each chore you want to get done each morning.
Write all of those chores down on each day of the week, for the next two weeks.
After two weeks you won’t need to write them down anymore.
Keeping a tidy house will also allow you to work focused when you are working from home because your mind will not be distracted by the mess around the house.
Getting into a routine will help and staying on top of cleaning is key.
