4. Clean as you go
This is the secret to keeping a clean home as a working mom
Cleaning as you go throughout your day will make your life so much easier. And, it doesn’t feel like cleaning when you do it either.
The clean-as-you-go method involves taking opportunities to clean continually throughout.
This clean-as-you technique is very useful while you cook in the kitchen, and this is my favorite thing to do to make my kitchen all-time clean.
Start clearing off any clutter that started accumulating as you get ready to make dinner. Put away papers, throw away junk and put toys back where they belong.
Make sure as you wind down for the night that everything is put away and nothing is left on your kitchen counter that shouldn’t be there!
5. Do a load of laundry each day
Try doing a load of laundry every day instead of letting it pile up all week and spending the whole day doing laundry.
I know no one likes to do laundry, but doing it every day ensures that laundry doesn’t become a thing.
There is always more laundry to do, and when you’re looking at a huge pile of laundry it can feel impossible to get under control. Again, doing it this way ensures laundry isn’t a whole separate chore you have to do.
Get in the habit of throwing in a load each morning and putting it away each evening or vice versa.
It’s just easily incorporated into your everyday routine.
6. 15-minute clean-up routine
How can you clean my house in 15 minutes? What is the best cleaning schedule? Maintain a clean home using this 15-minute cleaning routine.
You simply have everyone do a quick 15-minute clean-up session before settling in for the evening. This can be picking up toys off the floor, or clearing off a workspace.
I’m honestly telling you that you can follow the same daily cleaning routine I do and have a nice, clean home with very little effort on your part.
This 15-minute cleaning routine can save a lot of time for busy people and this will be perfect for busy moms!
7. Prioritize the most important task first.
We can certainly all come up with a mile-long list of chores to complete mostly around the house.
We do, however, appreciate family time and wish to concentrate on more than just your house.
It’s critical to recognize that you’ll not have been able to complete everything on your to-do list.
8. Go to bed with a clean kitchen every night.
This one is so important. There’s nothing worse than waking up to a messy kitchen. It makes you feel defeated before you even begin.
If your kids are old enough, this is a great way to let them help you.
Sure, the house is going to get messy again today, but you’ll do the same 10-minute clean-up in the evening as the night before so it doesn’t get out of hand.
Make it a habit to check the room before you leave and put it back the way you found it.
Then when you’re in the room the next time you won’t be overwhelmed by the clutter or mess since everything is back in its proper place.
9. Create a morning routine and stick to it
Routines are important for the busy working mom. Depending on your schedule and how you can rearrange your mornings, waking up earlier and having a good morning routine will help you.
