Here you will find ten Sunday habits for a productive and organized week that you can start putting into practice. For a super productive, organized, and effective week ahead practice these habits on Sunday.
10 Sunday Habits For a Productive and Organized Week
Sunday is the last day before we enter a new week, so it’s very important to know what you should do to have a successful week ahead! You just need to incorporate some of these simple Sunday habits that will set you up for a good, productive, organized, and relaxed week.
Productive and Organized Week #1. Don’t Sleep Sunday For A Long Time
Have a relaxing start to your Sunday morning, I know Sunday is a holiday day but you don’t have to spend your Sunday sleeping all day which can ruin your early morning routine.
Trust me! I was too lazy to wake up on my Sunday morning, but gradually I changed that habit.
I mean you don’t have to rush as you do during weekdays. Just remember that you want to be productive and organized during the day because Sunday has the power to start it off on the right foot. So start your morning slowly without oversleeping.
Take time to get up, and have a good and yummy breakfast. Divide your Sunday into two halves, first have to spend quality time with your family or do self-pamper yourself. Then next half you can dedicate time to organizing your weekend.

Productive and Organized Week #2. Review The Past Week
How do you write a past week’s review?
A good Sunday habit is also to review the past week. Reviewing the past week is the process of a weekly review can be broken down into three sections:
- Get Clear: Reflect on the past week and tie all loose ends.
- Get Current: Prioritize what needs to be done this week.
- Get Creative: Plan for the future and come up with new ideas to improve your life and work.
You can simply ask questions yourselves such as,
- What did I do well this week?
- What didn’t I do well this week?
- How do I want to improve the new week?
A weekly review makes you think and view your week as a whole. Without reviewing you don’t get the true idea of what you’re achieving, moreover, a weekly review forces you to pause and reflect: What did I get done this week versus what I planned to get done?
Productive and Organized Week #3. Write a To-Do List For The Upcoming Days
You should write a to-do list on Sunday to have a productive and organized week.
This helps you to make sure that your tasks are written down all in one place so that you don’t forget anything important. Prioritize and plan the order in which you’ll do them.

Just take out your planner and write down your goals for the week and remember not to set too many goals because it will be overwhelming. Note down your to-do list, and all the tasks that need to be done in the week ahead.
Just keep one or a maximum of two weekly goals for yourself.
Now comes the scheduling part! Yes you should be clear on the ‘when’ and ‘what time’
Once you have your weekly goals and to-do list, plan out your week for WHEN you want to get them done. It is important because simply noting down what you want to do or have to do isn’t sufficient.
A to-do list along with weekly planning will make things much easier and you will know exactly what you have to do on that particular day.
Take the time to write down your tasks for each day of the week and continue with this routine on Sunday to reflect on you as a habit. After a few days, you will notice that you will be super productive and you will know how to organize yourself and plan your time to dedicate yourself to what you love.
#4. No Work On Sundays
As a full-time working mom, I find Sundays as blogging days, so I tend to work on Sundays. I have to force myself to turn my working hours off on Sundays. Try not to do anything related to work on a Sunday.
I know it is tough if you have to manage some other tasks, but this is the truth, you need some time off from work. Instead, you can read a book or spend time on your self-maintenance.
Working on Sundays makes you less productive on your weekdays. It is time to take rest to refill your battery, which is a must to run entire weekdays.
#5. Calculate Your Weekly Budget
To be frugal or to save money for future weekly budget planning is vital.
How to make a weekly budget? One of the best Sunday habits for a productive and organized week to put into practice is to check your money situation. Get ready with the bills that need to be paid during the week.
Practicing your weekly budget gives you the correct road map on how to spend during the week and how much money you have in your account.
Estimating your total weekly income and expenses is a great starting point. Look for ways to save, such as shopping, and cutting down on eating out. Coming up with a set of budgeting goals, like saving for your dream will help to keep you motivated.
By checking your money at least once a week, you know how you are planning, how much more you can spend, and how much you need to save. Developing this habit can secure your money and your financial planning.
#6. Meal Planning, Grocery Shopping And Meal Prepping
If you want to have a stress-free, productive, and organized week, then meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal prep are important. As a busy working mom meal planning and grocery shopping saves me tons of my time and money.
Try to do the shopping on the weekend and meal prep on Sunday. Meal prep is an intelligent method that allows you to plan and prepare the meals of the week in advance or you can save your time by making freezer meals.
Go for grocery shopping only on Sunday as you don’t have to go out every time you run out of stock in the middle of the week which is such a hassle!
Checkout,
- The items you need for the meals you are going to prepare every single Sunday.
- Pantry items are about to be over for the week.
This not only helps to keep track of your grocery expenses better but also saves you time, money, and energy
After adopting this habit into my life, my family became more organized over the weekend, and from Monday to Friday everything was ready and now I can cook my meals easily and have home-cooked food every day.

If you work outside this is super important, because this makes your morning routine stress-less and saves your time.

A clean and organized workspace can help you focus, boost your productivity, and help you feel less stressed throughout the workday.
I can’t stay productive and organized if my workspace is chaotic and cluttered.
Just follow a few steps to clean and organize your workspace,
- Remove all items, including your computer, phone, pen holder, and other accessories.
- Use disinfectant wipes to wipe down the entire surface thoroughly.
- Wait for the cleaning solution to dry before moving the desk items back into place.
