Why it is important to keep our home clean and tidy?
First, I am not sitting here in this perfectly tidy home telling you how to live your life. But I do come from a place of frustration, disappointment, and overwhelm that I let happen.
With busy schedules and fast-paced lifestyles, it’s hard to prioritize the things one needs to.
From regular health check-ups to spending more time with family and friends.
Many homeowners blame lack of time for neglecting household cleaning and chores, others discount the importance of a clean home altogether.
The truth is that home cleaning isn’t merely about keeping your house looking neat and tidy, several other benefits come with a clean home.

Simple Habits to keep your home clean and tidy
1. Make your bed as soon as you wake up
The habit of making your bed in the morning has a far-reaching impact on you throughout the day than you can imagine.
Having a clean, organized, and made-up bed lifts your state of mind to feel more organized and at peace.
It only takes a couple of minutes but makes a good difference, an instant clean and tidy room. This will transform the entire room into a cleaner one immediately.
2. Create a morning cleaning routine
Cleaning routines where you just bust out some cleaning in a short amount of time and then carry on with the rest of your day.
You are too busy to clean up a huge mess that has piled up after a couple of days. That takes more time and much more effort than implementing a morning cleaning routine.
3. Clean up as you cook
When you are cooking do not leave everything to the end. Wash as you go!
And chances are once you’ve eaten you won’t want to tackle the clear up so it may stay put for a while afterward.
So you have everything washed except the pots on the stove while it’s cooking so after you are done eating the dishes to be washed are the eating dishes and pots.
If you get into the habit of clearing as you cook, there should be much fewer things left to clean after you’ve eaten.
4. Do dishes after every meal for at least just 10 minutes
It’s imperative to have both a laundry routine and a dish routine that works to have a well-run home. There’s no way around it.
A sink piling up with dishes is easy to pass by with the good intention of washing them soon.
At the end of every meal, set a timer for 10 minutes as a family- everyone should be helping, clearing the table, doing the dishes, and sweeping up.
5. Do Laundry Every Day
Laundry is one of those things that can pile up in the blink of an eye if you are not careful. My preferred method is a do a load or two of laundry every single day.
If you are easily overwhelmed by laundry embracing a load of laundry every day is the way to go.
I would rather spend a few minutes or so folding and putting away a single load every day vs. trying to do the laundry all in one day.
Fold your clothes on your bed so you can’t get in until it’s done and put away for the night.
Again, this is my preference, and here’s the most efficient way to tackle laundry every day.
6. Declutter once a month
Why Declutter Every Day for a Month?
You’ll build a decluttering habit.
Cleaning, decluttering, and organizing are three different things that work together in tandem to make your home lovelier. It is best to declutter before the deep cleaning.
7. Give Everything a Home
The keep to keeping a tidy home is to have everything organized. Figure out a home for everything that you have.
Now you need to understand something about storage. Storage isn’t about keeping as much as possible: it’s about knowing where to find what you need any time you need it.
The other thing is that you’re going to want to store things beautifully because what you have left are the things you love.
You’re going to want to place them lovingly in a way you can appreciate them.
It should never take a lot of effort to get things out of or into storage.
I mean, yeah, putting away laundry is always going to be a pain, but you can at least rest assured that you’ve taken away one pain point: figuring out where things belong.
8. Create an evening cleaning routine
The time you invest doing this simple evening cleaning routine will pay off big as you notice your home becoming cleaner and more organized and your mornings becoming less chaotic.
Having those things nagging at you in the back of your mind robs you of being able to relax and enjoy the evening.
And it leaves you with so much to deal with the next morning that you’re like to have a stressful and chaotic start to the day.
But even if you stick to doing just this simple evening cleaning routine, you will see a remarkable difference in how easy it is to keep your house clean and organized.
