Here’s a list of cleaning hacks for those of us looking to save time and money.
Cleaning hacks for women who never have a messy home
1. Use vinegar to make the bathroom sparkle
Cleaning with baking soda and vinegar in the bathroom can work wonders.
To clean a toilet with vinegar, pour a cup of vinegar into the bowl and let sit overnight.
For tough jobs, empty the toilet water first and then clean, the next morning, sprinkle with baking soda or borax powder; scrub, then flush.
2. Homemade kitchen spray
I have a spray bottle with a vinegar-water solution (multi-purpose solution) handy in my kitchen. While cooking on my glass cooktop, oil splatters and makes the surface sticky and dirty.
Once I finish cooking, I always make it a point to just wipe clean the counter and cooktop with this spray solution.
Whenever spills and splatters happen, just spray the mix and wipe it clean with a paper towel or kitchen cloth. This can save you time and energy.
This might be cleaning hacks of women who always have clean kitchen.
3. Clean your couch with baking soda
Baking soda can help remove any lingering smells and break up any stains on the fabric.
First, brush off the surface of the couch, then sprinkle baking soda on the area you want to clean.
Just let it sit for about 20 minutes, then vacuum it up using the brush attachment.
4. Clean your baseboards with a broom
skirting boards are a pain to clean quite literally if you aren’t careful. All that bending down to clean them can put a real strain on your back.
The best way to clean skirting boards, without the back strain, is to simply wrap a cloth around a broom and secure it with a rubber band.
Then spray the cloth with your cleaning product and easily clean your skirting boards.
5. Microwave cleaning hacks
Are sponges getting stinky?
Or your microfiber cloths?
Dampen them, and then stick your sponges and clothes into the microwave for thirty seconds.
The heat will kill the smelly bacteria.
Put sponges in the microwave for two minutes and let cool to get rid of built-up bacteria.
And then clean your microwave with vinegar and lemon.
To clean the microwave, keep a bowl with equal parts of water, vinegar, and half a lemon in the microwave till the mixture boils and the microwave window becomes steamy.
Let it sit for 5 minutes then wipe it with a sponge or paper towel.
6. Skip the bucket
Sometimes moving around the mop bucket only makes more of a mess thanks to the dirty water splashing around.
Go for less has a bucket-less mopping technique that works wonders: a spray bottle filled with diluted cleaning solution and a microfiber mop.
7. Use baskets for a quick organized home
I like baskets for home organization. Not only are they beautiful, but they are a great way to keep your home organized thoroughly.
Sort things like kids’ toys, books, electronics, and stationery into their baskets. When it comes time to pick up, simply toss whatever it is into its proper basket and you’re done.
Using baskets to store items, instead of drawers, shelves, boxes, and furniture can take a chunk of cleaning time out of your day!
8. Reuse shopping paper bags
Paper and plastic Bags are great! Reuse them as trash bags. The smaller bag will mean you will take it out more often, saving on odors, and you are reusing a shopping bag at the same time!
