Reusable bags for grocery shopping is a must, isn’t it! Because it’s good for us and also for our planet.
In Bengaluru, we all get paper bags or cloth bags; if I forget to take reusable shopping bags, I have to pay extra Rs 20 or Rs 30.
So I keep on remembering reusable bags. It’s not only about saving money, but It would also have an intense impact on the hundreds of marine birds and animals.
Ultimately you know it is perfect for all living creatures of our planet, including us.

On March 13, 2021, it is said that to deal with the vast uncollected plastic waste across the country, the center has also decided to increase the thickness of polyethylene bags from 50 microns to 120 microns from September 30 this year. Currently, in India, polythene bags of less than 50 microns are banned.

Use of certain items, including plastic flags, earbuds with plastic sticks, plastic sticks for balloons, candy sticks, ice-cream sticks, and decoration materials, will be prohibited from January 1, 2022.
The following things will be banned from July 1, 2022.
- Plates
- Cups
- Glasses
- Cutlery such as forks, spoons, knives,
- Straws
- Trays
- Unwrapping/ packing films around sweet boxes
- Cigarette packets
In today’s modern, hectic world, convenience is our king. We are addicted to stuff we use once and then throw them away.
