Simple Habits For Clean And Organized Kitchen
1. Clean up as you cook
Preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning up after every meal probably causes your kitchen’s biggest messes.
If you practice cleaning while cooking, then your kitchen never becomes a mess.
Fill your sink with hot soapy water to wash up as you go. Cluttered counters and piles of plates can leave you feeling overwhelmed.
So wash dishes shortly after you’re finished with them; wipe counters and other surfaces clean as you transition into another step of the cooking process and ensure you have time for a well-deserved rest.
I have gradually developed the instinct of cleaning the kitchen as I go, which made it the best habit to remain my kitchen all-time clean.
2. Buy food that you can eat successfully ( don’t buy more food)
Keeping a tidy pantry is a bit challenging task.
Buying what you can successfully store in your kitchen or pantry will help keep your kitchen organized, and it’ll prevent food from taking up valuable counter space.
A lot of food waste can be prevented if you can able adopt this habit.
Trust me! I’m not aware of these habits which made the kitchen cluttered and lose lots of money.
This is another money-saving hack you can practice. Make sure to toss out your pantry before your grocery shopping.
3. Keep the countertop clean
A cluttered countertop makes a whole kitchen look messy and untidy.
After each meal takes just a few moments to wipe down the spaces you used.
This takes less time than waiting until the end of the day and having to deal with things that have dried onto the surface.
I have noticed that while cooking if the counter is clean it’s very easy to make the meal because you don’t have to worry about the space to keep the pans or pots.
If you keep your kitchen counters clear and sparse, your whole kitchen will look vastly better.
Cleaning the counters and sweeping the floor after each meal doesn’t take long, and its benefits are huge.
It’ll make your kitchen look better, and be more hygienic.
4. Create a realistic kitchen cleaning routine
If we have a kitchen cleaning routine, this makes your kitchen always clean and tidy.
For me, I have created both Morning and Nighttime kitchen cleaning Routines. Building these habits into a morning routine and nighttime routine can help you stick with them.
Everybody’s family is different, life is different, even routine also different, so figure out which routine makes comfortable for you and your family.
Remember it takes time to develop good habits.
I have found that my daily busy routine makes forgetfulness one of my main reasons for not getting chores done.
When you have set time for doing certain things, it’s much easier to remember to do them.
This works for me and it seems to be realistic to get done.
5. Do dishes after every meal
Wash dirty dishes at least daily if you are handwashing them. Wash your dishes as soon as you’re done eating.
Set them on a drying rack and put them away when they’re dry. This will prevent food from becoming dried on and hard to wash off.
As well, it prevents the growth of bacteria and fungus in the leftover food particles and keeps them from attracting insects and other pests.
Together they all come down to developing the habit of making sure that after every meal your kitchen looks clean and fresh.
If you have a family each meal produces a lot of dirty dishes.
You should try getting in the habit of running the dishwasher every night and emptying it every morning.
If you are on the top of your dishwashing chores then your dishes will be ready for the next cooking session which again save your cooking time even in rush situations.
